Discovering the fauna and flora

With its deep forests, isolated peaks and impetuous mountain streams, the Park is an unspoiled natural area where wildlife thrives. To observe the animals, you’ll need patience – and a pair of binoculars. As for the plant species, there are more than 1,400 different kinds, some ten of which are protected by French law. The biodiversity found here is due to the different soil types, microclimates and altitudes.
